Helloo, how are Pépin subscribers doing since Christmas?
We’ve missed you!
We’ve rounded up the juiciest news from the last 2 months.
To be enjoyed without moderation in the evening with a glass of natural wine 😉
The vines
Before the wine in the glass, the vine in the soil.
They are still in their winter resting period.
We prune them to prepare them for the fruiting season.
Here’s a rather interesting shot.
Why scatter lime, you may ask?
Quite simply, because when the soil becomes too acidic, granular lime helps to raise the pH of the soil and counterbalance the acidity.
Lime provides calcium and promotes the decomposition of organic matter into humus.
The exact name of this process is “liming”.
Trade shows
Let’s move on to the trade shows.
Like migratory birds, we took advantage of the southern trade shows in Montpellier, such as Biotop and Millésime Bio, to fill up on sunshine.
These trade shows were an opportunity for Pierre, Jean, Sarah, Louise and Maximilien to meet up with old friends and introduce Pépin to new customers and exporters.
Stay tuned!
Who knows, maybe on your next vacation to Hawaii, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of fresh Pépink 😉
Get out your diaries!
The Wine Paris trade show will be held in… Paris, from February 13 to 15.
We’ll be there, and look forward to seeing you and talking with you!
The producers
After our little jaunt to the South, we made a little jaunt to Perpignan and Canet to visit one of our main Pépin Rouge producers, where we discussed the road we’ve travelled together, old vintages and got lost in the acres of future delights. Keep your ears peeled as we also discussed the next Pépins Rouge.
We were lucky enough to taste the ones currently in production to ensure that ripening goes smoothly.
The new red is full of promise.
Worth the wait!
Get ready, your taste buds are in for a treat!
We also paid a visit to Antoine Bernardin, producer of La Petite Odyssée.
He donned his guide’s hat and gave us a tour of his winery.
We tasted Le Saillant’ s forthcoming cuvées, Furie, and Pet Nat Rosé.
Our verdict?
A mouth-watering euphoria awaits, with plenty of surprises in store.
Pépin pinot noir
Now for the red carpet section.
As we announced a few months ago, the star is here!
Thunderous applause for everyone’s favorite, Le Pinot Noir Pépin .
Nous sommes très fiers qu’il plaise à autant de personnes.
If you haven’t discovered it yet, get in quick before the bottles go like hotcakes.
Louise la vagabonde
A star never arrives alone.
The one in the photo is called Louise.
Some of you already know her face!
She’s our export sales rep.
Decked out in her finest feathers, she left her stork’s nest to take to the skies and spread the word about Pépin abroad.
His goal?
To make Pépin known throughout the world.
Louise, you’ll leave a place as big as a kouglof in your team’s hearts.
We miss you already.
Come back soon with lots of memories!
The team expands
Life goes on in the Pépin. Our team is growing from strength to strength. And as the saying goes, the more the merrier. Amandine is our new sales administrator. If you come and pay the team a surprise visit, you’ll discover some new faces.
And soon, Jean-François will be coordinating the office’s financial and administrative objectives.
If your pallets are tidier than usual, it’s thanks to Abdelmajid. Finally, Valentine will be our next trainee.
What happiness!
We end on a good note.
