Hello friends, The beginning of February is always an important time in the world of natural wine and France.
Angers plays host to a whole host of wine fairs, where winemakers and wine and food professionals meet, and where many small winemakers set up shop in the fair parking lots to showcase their creations.
It’s no mean feat, however, to find your way around all these fairs, so here’s a short list with the essential information 😉
Free Tastings
February 04, 2024, 16 Rue des Lices, 49100, Angers 11:00 – 22:00 Free admission for pros It’s happening in the center of Angers at the In Arte Veritas art gallery, at 16 Rue des Lices, ten minutes from the train station.
The gallery is 600 m2 in size, with some fifteen rooms filled with works of art and bar areas.
A self-service wine tasting is organized on large tables, with over 200 natural and biodynamic wines available.
Thanks to its format, this is undoubtedly the best place to taste the maximum number of references in the minimum time.

L’After
February 04, 2024, 16 Rue des Lices, 49100, Angers 12:00 – 01:00 Free admission for professionals Also in the In Arte Veritas gallery, the After is organized.
It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of trade shows, starting at midday and lasting until 1 a.m. You can enjoy craft beers, biody and natural wines, cocktails, tartes flambées, natural oysters and snacks, while enjoying a DJ and the exceptional setting, surrounded by the gallery’s works of art.

The Loire Levee
February 05 and 06, 2024, Parc des Expos, Angers 08:00 – 19:00 on Monday and 08:00 – 18:00 on Tuesday Admission at €8 reserved for professionals La Levée de la Loire is the trade show proposed by Loire Vin Bio (Association Interprofessionnelle des Vins Bio du Val de Loire), bringing together organic winegrowers, merchants and marketers from across the Loire Valley.
La Levée de la Loire also welcomes organic winegrowers from other regions.

CHAI!
February 04, 2024, Le chai de 1006, 3 ter promenade de la Baumette, 49000 Angers from 10:00 to 18:00 Admission at 5€ reserved for pros This is the third edition of this young show dedicated to artisan winemakers.
You’ll find around twenty winemakers, including Pépin.

La Dive Bouteille
February 04 and 05, 2024, 19 Rue Léopold Palustre, 49400 Saumur 10:00 – 18:00 Entry €10 for pros only It’s been said that La Dive is the world’s biggest natural wine show… It’s been said that the people are a bit crazy and the atmosphere a bit olé-olé… It’s not all false-false… La Dive takes place in the cavec ackerman (confirm ortho), a spectacular place in saumur.

Le Salon Saint-Jean
February 03 and 04, 2024, Greniers Saint Jean – Place du Tertre Saint-Laurent, 49000 Angers 10:00 – 18:00 Entry €10 for professionals only The Salon Saint-Jean showcases some of the finest French and foreign estates – particularly organic, biodynamic and natural.
It’s also an opportunity to discover a magnificent venue: the Grenier Sain-Jean, which only adds to the pleasure of attending.

The Penitents
